Meet Our Staff

We have assembled what we feel is the most qualified and most caring dental staff in the area to take care of all of your dental needs. Our staff warmly welcomes you to our dental practice.

Jenny A. Swick, DDS

Dr. Swick is a Spencerville, Ohio native. Upon graduation from high school, she obtained an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Rhodes State College. After working for 4 years as a hygienist, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the Ohio State University and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University.

Dr. Swick purchased the practice from Dr. Burgei in 2022 after a 5-year partnership. She has continued to uphold the same core values that Dr. Burgei has for so many years. Her passion for Dentistry has brought our office many new modern technologies such as: digital scanners, Invisalign, AI, 3D CBCT machine and partnerships with state-of-the-art dental labs. Dr. Swick is eager to share her enthusiasm for Dentistry with existing and future patients.

Dr. Swick lives in Delphos with her Husband Dan and 3 children Eli, Aidan and Amyah. Their oldest daughter Madi is currently in Dental School at Ohio State University. After graduation Madi plans to join our team as a Provider and is eager to provide the same great care to our patients. In her spare time Dr. Swick enjoys reading a good book and spending time with her family and friends.

Megan Webb

Megan began her dental career as an assistant in 2012. She joined our practice in 2018. Shortly after joining our practice, she went back to school and received her Expanded Function Dental Assistant License (EFDA) from Sinclair College. With this license she can assist our doctors more extensively. In 2023 she became the office manager. With this came the responsibility of overseeing the daily operations and managing our growing team. She is dedicated to making sure our patients have an optimal experience here at Van Wert Family Dentistry.

Megan lives in Delphos, OH with her husband, Nate, and their three children. In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, reading, running, and playing with her children.

Melissa Knepper

Melissa began her dental career as a Dental Assistant in 1994 and is a graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. She headed back to school in 2005 to receive her certificate as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) from the Ohio State University. With this training, she can assist Dr. Burgei and Dr. Swick more extensively in filling teeth among other procedures.

Melissa lives in Delphos with her husband, Dave, and two daughters. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Krista Inkrott

Krista joined our team in 2002 as a Dental Hygienist. In 2011, she went back to school to earn her Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) license at the Ohio State University. Krista's versatile skills allow her to fill many positions, making her a vital part of our team.

Krista lives outside of Hicksville with her husband and four children. She enjoys spending time with her kids and attending sporting events. In her free time, she likes to go shopping, digital scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Riann Stetler

Riann, who joined our practice in 2017, received her Dental Hygiene and Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) degree from Owens Community College in 1996.

Riann lives outside Middle Point with her husband, Josh, and their daughter Julia. In 2011, she began working with the National Guard and Reserves, helping to maintain their oral health.

Alongside her professional work, Riann is also a fitness instructor at the YMCA. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and relaxing at their lake house in Michigan.

Andrea Recker

Andrea graduated from Ft. Jennings High School in 2014. After graduation, she attended Rhodes State College and received her degree in Dental Hygiene. She began her career with our office as a hygienist in 2018. Andrea is passionate about her job and looks forward to helping her patients achieve a healthy and confident smile!

Andrea was born and raised in Putnam County and continues to live there with her husband and their growing family. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, crocheting, traveling, and watching a good movie.

Brittney Arnold

Brittney graduated from Rhodes for Dental Hygiene in 2017. In her time there she served as class president and as a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She then went on to obtain her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) license through Sinclair Community College in 2021. Brittney joined our team in 2023 where she works as an EFDA assisting the doctors and also doing hygiene when needed. Brittney loves to educate patients about their oral health while getting to know them personally.

Originally from Coldwater, Ohio, Brittney her husband Jordan and son Jensen now live south of Van Wert where she enjoys going on family walks and camping with friends and family. Brittney looks forward to meeting you and getting to know your family as well!

Whitney Gillespie

Whitney joined the Van Wert Family Dentistry team in 2022. She is a Delphos St. John's graduate and currently resides in Delphos with her husband Curt and their three children. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, camping and spending time with her family.

As a patient advocate, Whitney is available to assist you with your scheduling, treatment, and any insurance questions. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know our patients and strives to make sure all our patients have the best possible experience here at our office.

Kambrynn Rohr

Kambryn was born and raised in Delphos Ohio. After graduating from Delphos St. John’s in 2021 she worked as a dental assistant for two years. She graduated from Rhodes State College in 2024 with her degree in Dental Hygiene. She is passionate about creating a comfortable and informative dental visit and ensuring every patient leaves with a confident smile and improved oral hygiene.

When not working, Kambrynn enjoys traveling the world, going on outdoor runs, and spending time with family and friends. She looks forward to meeting you and working together to achieve your best smile and oral health.

Brianne Hackman

Brianne joined out Van Wert Family Dentistry team in 2023. She is a Delphos St. John's graduate and resides in Delphos with her husband, Kevin and their three children. Brianne obtained her Dental Hygiene degree from Rhodes State College, where she served as Vice President of her class and has been practicing since 2013. Through experience and education, Brianne is dedicated to making you feel comfortable and relaxed during your dental visit. She ensures you leave the office with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve a healthy and beautiful smile!

Outside of work, Brianne enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her three dogs. Briannes favorite activities are playing cards, lifting weights, and spending time outdoors.

Shelby Cummins

Shelby joined our Van Wert Family Dentistry team in October of 2024. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, where she earned her associate's degree in health information management. She know resides in Ohio City with her fiance, Mason, and their two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, camping, and off roading. Shleby also volunteers at the Ohio City Volunteer Fire Department as an EMT-B.

As a patient advocate, Shelby is available to assist you with your schelduling, treatment and any insurance questions. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know our patients and helping in any way she can. Shelby strives to make sure all our patients have the best possible experience here at our office.

Lauren Roth

Lauren began her career as a Dental Hygienist in 2010 after graduating from Rhodes State College and joined our team in May of 2025. Lauren was born and raised in Willshire, OH and is a Parkway High School Alum. She is not only passionate about creating the most comfortable dental experience in her chair but also educating you on your overall health. Lauren values getting to know her patients and learning about their families.

Lauren resides north of Celina with her husband and two children. She enjoys fitness, canning, baking, watching her children in sporting events, spending time with her friends and families shopping, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.

Jerry R. Burgei, DDS

Dr. Burgei was born and raised in Ottawa, Ohio. After graduation, he headed off to The University of Michigan earning a Biology degree. In his spare time at Michigan, he played football for the Wolverines as a defensive end for 4 years. He then headed to The Ohio State University where he earned his DDS degree in 1987. He initially began his career in dentistry in Delphos before taking over this practice in 1995 from the late Dr. Keith Gordon.

Dr. Burgei officially retired in May of 2025. However, you may still see him around the office covering for Dr. Swick occasionally. Dr. Burgei and his wife Jeana are enjoying traveling and visiting with their three children and grandchildren.
